The Problem:
The holidays and holiday hosting are stressful, especially when it comes to crafting cocktails. Many people feel pressured to replicate the high-end cocktails they enjoy at restaurants and bars, adding to the overall stress of entertaining at home.
The Insight:
Shoppers are actively seeking easy solutions and recipes that simplify their holiday planning, allowing them to reclaim more of their day. They desire convenient yet impressive options that can alleviate the complexity of cocktail preparation.
The Creative Solution:
Introducing Mike’s Hard as a new player in the holiday cocktail space. Known for its refreshing summer flavors, Mike’s Hard offers an unexpected but delightful twist for holiday beverages. By leveraging familiar and beloved flavors, we aimed to make holiday cocktail preparation easy and enjoyable.
The Execution:
We developed a fully animated digital hub titled "Mix Up Your Holidays with Mike’s," featuring festive recipes such as Mike’s Cranberry Cringle (rum, lime sour, and Mike’s Cranberry Lemonade) and Amaretto Hour (Amaretto, OJ, Mike’s Lemonade, and bitters). These recipes used simple, accessible ingredients, ideal for both small gatherings and large parties.
The website combined the bright, summery colors of Mike’s with cozy holiday elements like a crackling fireplace, lemon ornaments, and falling snowflakes, creating a winter-friendly aesthetic. Shoppers could browse recipes and purchase products directly through MikMak. Access was promoted via sponsored posts with popular food bloggers, Pinterest, and social media channels. Additionally, the site offered coupons to visitors, making the holiday preparation process even more seamless.
